Survived by his wife Mary-ann, his children Melissa and Tahu, Pae-o-te-riri, Sheree, Joseph and Briana and his mokopuna Amiria, Tiaki, Paikea, Te Kairangi, Ngarangi, Cyrus, Whitireia, Rutene, Breeze, and Anahera. Rutene will lay in state at Rehua Marae until the service on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 10:00am., then laid to rest at Memorial Park Cemetery.
