Loved father of Kelsi, Kayti, and Jaxon, Much loved nephew of Maureen and Ron Sandford, Shaun, Kiri, Jake, Tia, and Dolly Sandford, Callie, Nic, Bella and Jackson Christie, Alana, Brendan and Dania Sandford. I am so grateful that I could attend today despite being 13,000km away. Shayne was an understatedly wonderful, generous and warm man who had an almost unrivalled gift with horses. I feel privileged to have known him. Life will never be the same without him around and I hope that those who loved him can rally together to support one another. I send my love and strength to his family and friends and especially to his loving partner Michelle. Wish I could’ve been there for you all. Stay strong. Kia kaha. Goodbye Shayne.
