Bell, Lamb & Trotter

Bell, Lamb and Trotter exists to serve the families who request our assistance, offering sympathetic, understanding and caring guidance, which is cost competitive. Our purpose is to help each family design a funeral for their loved one which is unique and personal – a service which is true to the person who has died and which reflects their life, personality, beliefs and culture.

Funeral Costs

Naturally, many people are curious to know how much a funeral will cost. The cost of a funeral varies considerably, dependent up on the style of service

Payment Options

Increasingly people are recognising the benefits of pre-paying a funeral – making some payment towards the cost of a funeral some time before the event.

An update about how we are going forward with Level 4:
The front door of our office will be locked from 5pm today until the end of the lockdown. For anyone wishing to come in for any reason a phone call will be required to assess if and how we can accommodate this.
As an essential service we are still operational. We will be taking calls and we will continue to care for people on a 24/7 basis.
We will endeavour to do all arrangements over the phone or by video call.
The Ministry of Health have sensibly directed no funerals, public or private, are to go ahead.
We will continue to bring people into our care, however, we will be wearing protective items for the safety of the people we come into contact with as well as ourselves.
We can still facilitate meaningful farewells and for people to spend time with their loved ones – but only individually or in groups that people are self-isolating with. We will be practising physical distancing with barriers in place and areas will be thoroughly sterilised between visitors.
We can utilise our streaming facilities and be creative but any gathering will have to be postponed until the alert level reduces and we have strict restraints.
If in doubt or if you need to talk about anything – feel free to call anytime.

Bell, Lamb & Trotter's highest priority is always the safety of our client families and our community. We know you continue to hear and see news reports about the coronavirus/COVID-19 and some of its effects in New Zealand and around the world. Our team is closely monitoring this evolving situation and are following the guidance of the Ministry of Health and consulting with our colleagues.

We'd suggest staying home if you are sick, washing your hands, and covering coughs and sneezes. We are supplying hand sanitiser throughout our funeral home and disinfecting areas between visitors.

We can provide the ability to make arrangements over the phone, via email or video call if this would be more comfortable for your family.

If, for some reason, an individual is unable to attend a service, a number of our venues have live-streaming or recording available at no charge.

As is our usual approach, we are going to do everything we can to support you and your family during this time.
