Passed away peacefully on June 9, 2015 at Kauri Lodge, Christchurch. Dearly loved husband of the late Mary Catherine (Kate), nee Carney (49 years married), dearly loved father of John (Bangkok, Thailand; formerly of Upper Hutt). Loved brother and brother-in-law of Dezma Scott and the late Jim Scott; and loved brother and brother-in-law of the late Freda and Jim Jack, Reginald and Nellie, Maxwell and Millie, Joan and Jack O’Neill, Betty and Horrie Smith, and Lois and Wilf Campbell; and loved uncle of all his nephews and nieces and great nieces and nephews. Loved brother-in-law to the Carney family: the late Jack, Noel, and Margaret, Ted and Margaret, Eileen O’Donohue, Ita and Jim Ryan, Mick and Marion, Bill, Josephine, and Nance and Dennis Cave; and loved uncle of his nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
