On Tuesday, 9th February 2016, peacefully surrounded by her family, at Nurse Maude Hospice, aged 78. Cherished mother and mother-in-law of Sue and Zoli, and Julie and Steve. Adored wife of the late Johnny (Janos), sister to Alan (deceased), and daughter of Dorothy Hughes and Harry Perkins (deceased). Special thanks to Dr Julia and all the amazing staff of Nurse Maude Hospice, Donna Thomson of the Respiratory Clinic, Dr John Dewsbury and the team at Opawa Surgery, and those who cared for Josie during her illness. “Wake at dawn with a winged heart and give thanks for another day of Loving.” A celebration of Josie’s life will be held at Ferry Park Chapel, 297 Ferry Road, on Monday, February 15, at 2pm. Private cremation thereafter.
